350 Club
The 350 began life as the 200 club back in the 1980′s and was the brainchild of Nobby Wykes.
The idea is that the club sells 350 tickets numbered from 1 to 350. Each ticket costs £5 and that number is yours throughout the five monthly draws.
The 350 club runs from May to September and from November to March with each draw taking place on the last Tuesday of the month usually in the Cogenhoe Sports and Social Club.
The numbers are drawn by whoever is in the Sports and Social Club at the time.
There are four monthly prizes
- 1st prize £ 100
- 2nd prize £ 50
- 3rd prize £ 30
- 4th prize £ 10
The growth of the draw from 200 to today’s figure of 350 is testament to the support the club receives from the good people of Cogenhoe, the club’s members and the selling skills of Terry Tarpley, Dave Patrick, Phil Whiteman and Roy Quennell.
Results of the monthly draws are posted in the Sports and Social Club as well as being sent by email to those who request it. If you would like to support Cogenhoe Cricket Club by purchasing a 350 club ticket then please contact Terry on 01604 890 159 or e mail Roy at r.quennell@ntlworld.com and they will be only to pleased to give you more details about the competition.
The new club website www.cogenhoecc.co.uk will also carry the latest draw results as well as past draw winners.
Football Bingo

Indeed our 2010 / 2011 winner Adam Lee-Brown carried off a first prize of £275 all for a £10 entry fee. As well as a top prize of at least £250 there are many other prizes as well as the very funny weekly e mails and up dates sent out by Phil Whiteman which keep you right up to date with how your teams are doing. THE GAME
92 league clubs plus, clubs from The Blue Square Premier league, La Liga in Spain and Serie A in Italy have been used in our Football Bingo competition.
Based on their final league positions from the 2010 /11 season the leading 72 teams have been paired with the last 72 sides. For example Manchester United who won the Premiership are paired with Alfreton Town from the Blue Square Premier league, they are followed by Chelsea and AFC Telford and so on. This gives us 72 sets of two teams.
Each pair of sides will be placed in an envelope along with a bingo style card. The bingo card will have 15 numbers on it from 1 to 90. Every card has the same 15 numbers on them. The draw to determine which sides become your teams for 2011/2012 takes place at our Presidents Day evening Barbecue on Saturday 30 th July 2011.
When either of your nominated sides score a LEAGUE goal if the time of that goal corresponds with a number that appears on your card then just like at bingo you cross off that number. Play off games do not count.

The times of the goals scored will be taken from the football365 website only to avoid any confusion.

I would like to apologise to anyone who feels they have been incorrectly valued. Player values have been calculated by points players scored last season being divided by 58 (the average number of points per million for all players last season) with some common sense rulings to avoid for example Teffers being too expensive even for Man City. If you feel you’ve been wrongly classified as a bowler, batsman, all rounder or wicket keeper don’t worry this is purely done as a rough guide and to try and get as many different entries as possible.
